Sep 9, 2006   Leslie's Charity Day

This event was organised by Red Mission on Sep 9, 2006 in Victoria Park, Hong Kong (2pm to 6pm).

Despite of poor weather condition (heavy rain), thousands of fans attended the show. There was a huge screen showing Leslie's various films / mtvs highlights. Many audience started dancing with Leslie's lively beat! Various Leslie's items were available on the day. Some rare items were given out via auction. All items sold were for charity purposes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sep 10, 2006   "Flame in Our Hearts"

This event was organised by Leslie Legacy Association (LLA) on Sep 10, 2006 in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (1pm to 7pm).

Before the show, there was Leslie's clothes exhibition. During this time, people also have a chance to purchase photo books, posters and various other items for charity purpose.

The show started off with various Leslie's songs, mtvs etc... This was then followed by the hand-over of the 250,000 HK dollars cheque (in the name of Leslie Cheung) to ORBIS charity. The lump sum was donated by people who treasure Leslie's work and want to continue Leslie's kind-heartedness.

Peak of the show came when Leslie's birthday cake was pushed out. Toast took place after the cake cutting. All attendees were given a champagne glass as remembrance towards end of the show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sep 12, 2006   Birthday Party for Leslie Cheung

The dinner party was organised by Red Mission on Sep 12, 2006 in Mirama Hotel, Hong Kong (6pm to 11pm).

Leslie's songs were played throughout the dinner party. People danced and sang birthday song for Leslie. There was also games and lucky draw (I was one of the lucky ones to have won a prize!!!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sep 11-17, 2006   "All About Leslie" Exhibition / Charity

"All About Leslie" Exhibition was held in Discovery Park, Tsuen Wan between Sep 11-17, 2006.
One of the main aim was to sell Leslie's items for charity purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sep 10-24, 2006   "Leslie Count Down with You for 50 Years"

"Leslie Count Down with You for 50 Years" took place in the Avenue of Stars, Tsim Sha Tsui (Sep 10-24, 2006). A number of huge posters were displayed showing Leslie's work throughout his career life. There was also a large screen showing Leslie's films and MTVs.

As it was around Leslie's birthday period, many people placed birthday cards and flowers around the exhibition area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sep 9-17, 2006   Leslie's Statue (Madame Tussauds)

During this period (Leslie's birthday), flowers are allowed to be placed next to Leslie's statue.
